Chairty event goes Swimmingly – Fleetwood and Cleveleys Lion’s ‘Swimarathon’

Fleetwood and Cleveleys Lions Club held their Swimarathon presentation at the Fleetwood Bowling Club on the 10th June.

70 Lions and swimmers were there to support the event. Cheques to the value of £6000 were handed out to the various teams. Top team being the Blood Riders who raised £3000 for their charity. Teams included Delivering Ducks (maternity nurses), Taekwondo Fleetwood, Fleetwood Junior Football Team, RSPCA, Hungry Hounds and School Teams. The Lions Club were thrilled at the support and thank all who attended, everyone who attended said they will take part next year so even more thanks are due.

Nearly £6000 was pledged with 50% going to the Lions Principal Charity ‘Blood Bikers NW’ and 50% going the each teams own choice  of charity
