BLACKPOOL FC Community Trust is supporting the Royal British Legion’s WWI centenary Thank You campaign and are looking for people across the town to join a campaign to mark the centenary of World War 1.

This year marks the centenary of the end of WWI and the club is supporting The Royal British Legion who are leading the nation in saying ‘Thank You’ to all who served, sacrificed and changed our world.

The Trust is looking to capture a series of short videos from Blackpool residents, employees of the club / Trust, or football fans in general that will be delivered across the Seasiders’ digital platforms.

Dave Marsland, who leads the Veteran programme for Blackpool FC Community Trust, said ‘This is such a significant date for the nation and it is great that we are supporting this campaign and give our community a platform to say thank you. We would urge as many people as possible to get in touch with us if they would like to join the growing number of people who have already committed to saying thank you.’

The Community Trust will also be running two Armed Forces themed stadium tours during the week leading up to Armistice Day.

These tours will take place on Monday, November 5, from 11am until 12.30pm and Thursday, November 8, from 1pm to 2.30pm.  To reserve a place on these stadium tours please visit Eventbrite and search for Blackpool FC Community Trust, or call 01253 348691.
