On 1st August 2018 a few members of Bangladeshi Society Blackpool Wyre & Fylde presented a bouquet for Cat Smith MP to congratulate on the birth of her new Baby boy Elijah.

The bouquet was handed over to Alison Tarpey-Black (Communication manager) in Fleetwood office. Many Bangladeshis have been residing in Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde coast for long time engaged in various reputed jobs and restaurant businesses. Individuals are also connected to various communal activities and charity organisations. Numbers of Bangladeshi have increased in this area, so the organisation was been formed for them. On 15th April the Oath ceremony was followed by the formation celebratio,n gathering on 24th June 2018, various Govt officials were invited and their presence made the event glorious. Cat Smith was also invited on both occasions, but due to her other commitments and health condition she could not attend. She sent her good wishes to Bangladeshi Community.
