Are you on the lookout for new things to do with the family in Wyre? The new Love Exploring mobile app, funded for Wyre by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, puts the power of discovery in your hands by providing a range of quiz trails and guided tours that are fun to do and free to use.

The Love Exploring mobile app, suitable for all ages, is now available for Memorial Park, Fleetwood. Ideal for inquisitive minds, you can find out about the parks history, ecology and unknown park facts through guided tours and quizzes. From a fairy trail, to a dinosaur trail and history trail, the app will keep the whole family entertained for hours.

To help you familiarise yourselves with the app we are hosting three one hour introductory sessions. The first session will take place on Monday 19 August at 1pm and will be based on the dinosaur trail. The second session will take place on Friday 23 August at 2pm and will be based on the heritage trail, and the third and final session will take place on Saturday 24 August at 2pm and will be based on the fairy trail. Councillor Simon Bridge, Street Scene, Parks and Open Spaces Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council, said: “This smartphone app will be a great excuse for people to get out and about and spend time with their families and friends whilst visiting Memorial Park. We hope people will enjoy learning more about the park and have fun exploring the trails.”

Simply download the Love Exploring app on your smartphone, available on IOS and Android, select Memorial Park and scan away to explore and discover the hidden depths of Fleetwood’s much loved park.
