Easter fun in Wyre

If you’re looking for things to do this Easter, there’s lots going on in Wyre! From events, to craft sessions, walks and countryside activities Wyre Council has put together an Easter programme with something for the whole family to get out and enjoy!

If you want a place where you can be close to the environment and stretches of sand, then there is nowhere more perfect than Rossall Point Observation Tower. With two observation decks for birdwatching and taking in the views across Morecambe Bay, the tower provides a sense of relaxation and peace for those wishing to slow down. Enjoy a beach craft session at the tower on Wednesday 28 March and Wednesday 4 April from 11am to 3pm, where children can enjoy fun craft activities made from driftwood and beach treasures.

You can also get crafty at Wyre Estuary Country Park in Stanah on Thursday 29 March from 1.30pm to 3.00pm, come and make wooden Easter bunnies with the rangers.

Head over to Memorial Park in Fleetwood where you can enjoy workshops on 31 March and 3 April from noon to 3pm making poppies out of old plastic bottles. Working with Fleetwood Town Council, the local community are invited to get involved and help decorate Fleetwood with a sea of poppies to mark the centenary of World War One.
