It’s not going to be a silent night on Saturday 22nd December as 17 local acts take to the stage at Bootleg Social for A Very Messy Christmas 11 to help raise funds for the Blackpool Food Bank.

For the 11th year (not in a row) ‘A Very Messy Christmas’ returns with around 17 local acts taking to the stage to completely ruin Christmas for everyone, ensuring your festive season is ruined more than that time the pony shaped present under the tree turned out to be a fold out clothes drying maiden.

Each act on the night gets a three song set list, at least one song has to be a cover of a classic Christmas tune, this gives the audience a chance to, not only sample some of the best new original music in the area, but get the chance to sing-a-long to some festive anthems.

All profits on the night will be donated be to the Blackpool Food Bank, who help local people who are living below the poverty line. They work together with front-line agencies across Blackpool to provide emergency food parcels for people in need. There will be charity buckets going around on the night so bring some change and please DIG DEEP. You can find out more about the Blackpool Food Bank at www.blackpoolfoodbank.co.uk

There will be performances on the night from: Jekyll

Laura Catlow, The Fat White Dukes, Dischord, The Poly-Esters, Oceans Over Alderaan, The Screbs, The Getsettes, Uncle Paul, Those ******* Snowflakes, Naomi’s Blood Diamonds, Hawkmen Dive, The Happy Pill Academy, Paul Huson, That Penwarden Feller and it’s all tied together by the very messy host The Wisdom Of Oz.

The events team held the first ‘A Very Messy Christmas’ way back in 2005 at the now defunct Riffs Venue in South Shore, Blackpool – after the venue closed the event moved to the Blue Room before finally settling into their new home at the excellent Bootleg Social Club, this is will be the 4th year at the brand new venue, you can keep up to date with any other events they hold throughout the year at www.facebook.com/averymessy,

Starts at 8:30pm with a £3 minimum donation entry fee, get there early to ensure you can get in as it’s first come first served.
