Breakpoint 2019 – Sport in Mind /Raising Funds for Disability Tennis/Raising awareness of Mental Health

Moorland Tennis Club is pleased to be a venue for the Breakpoint 2019 national challenge in which Robyn Moore will aim to hit 200,000 shots in 30 days in June. That’s 1 metre for every adult in UK who currently experiences mental health problems. Robyn has suffered from PTSD and is championing tennis as a valuable activity that has helped her enormously on the road to recovery.

She will be taking part in the challenge on the morning of Monday 10th June the club would love as many people as possible to come and join in the activities and help with fund raising, admission is free. All funds raised on the day will be donated to  Breakpoint 2019.

The day will run from 8am to 12am during which time Robyn will be hitting balls from a ball machine or rallying with club members.

Local schoolchildren will act as ball girls and boys who will be sponsored on number of balls collected. There will also be a competition to guess number of shots per hour. Refreshments will be available including home made cakes and biscuits
