Kenny Rogers – The Dealin’s Done

Kenny Rogers has been working through a series of health challenges. His doctors fully expect the outcome to be great, but they have advised him to cancel all performances through the end of the year to focus on recuperation.

Consequently, the Kenny Rogers performance on Saturday 25 August 2018 at Livewire Festival in Blackpool is being cancelled.

“I didn’t want to take forever to retire,” Rogers said.  “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to say farewell to the fans over the course of the past two years on ‘The Gambler’s Last Deal’ tour.  I could never properly thank them for the encouragement and support they’ve given me throughout my career and the happiness I’ve experienced as a result of that.”

Livewire expect to announce a replacement artist very soon. Tickets for the Saturday night will be valid for the new line up. Alternatively refunds will be available at point of purchase.

They have apologised for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

LIVEWIRE Festival may only be in its second year but it has already it left its stamp on the UK Festival circuit, generating worldwide headlines following Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff’s first UK performance to a sold out 20,000 capacity crowd. Already announced for LIVEWIRE Festival 2018 are headliners Boyz II Men and Matt Goss, who will be bringing their trademark soulful tones directly from The Vegas Strip to Blackpool on Thursday 23rd August. Further headline announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

Cllr Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council, said: “We are thrilled that the LIVEWIRE Festival is returning to Blackpool for a second year. Last year’s event brought a fabulous line up of talent to the resort over the August Bank Holiday weekend including an unforgettable concert by Will Smith and we can’t wait for this year’s stars to be revealed. It promises to be another amazing summer of music and entertainment in Blackpool.”
