Marine Hall in Fleetwood is launching a brand new event to promote all things related to health and wellbeing for local people.

The new One You – Health and Wellbeing event takes place at the venue on Sunday 8 April 2018, 10am-4pm and entry is free. All ages are welcome to come along and find out about healthier lifestyle choices and what local services are available to improve your wellbeing.

There will be a variety of stalls and demonstrations from local organisations, community groups and businesses on subjects such as:

  • Hypnotherapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Exercise groups and classes
  • Tropic skincare
  • Slimming World
  • The Healthier Fleetwood initiative
  • And many more …

Demonstrations and performances also include songs from the Harmony and Health Singing Group with further activities and demonstrations to be confirmed.

Mark Broadhurst Service Director of Health and Wellbeing at Wyre Council comments: “This event will be a good chance to find out more about what’s happening within the community and what local people can take part in. There’s lots going on to help families and individuals to become more active, meet new people and lead healthier lives.”

The event is being supported by Healthier Fleetwood, an initiative set up to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in the area. Dr Mark Spencer of Healthier Fleetwood comments: “This event is going to be a fantastic opportunity for people to focus on ‘what keeps me well’, one of the main elements of which is connecting to others. Working together we can make a difference”.
