Tickets are selling well for the expanded summer season of five open air plays at Lytham Hall.

Chapterhouse Theatre Company will launch the season on Sunday 17th June at 6.00 pm, the first weekend of their four month summer tour. The company present Richard Main’s production of Louisa Alcott’s popular novel ‘Little Women’, adapted for the stage by the award-winning Laura Turner.

Fylde coast fans will then welcome the return of Illyria, after three acclaimed shows last summer, as artistic director Oliver Gray presents Shakespeare’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’ at 6.00 pm on Sunday 8 July. Illyria will be back for a double header weekend as they stage ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’ on Saturday 18 August at 7.30 pm, followed on the Sunday by Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ at 6.00 pm. They are expecting a capacity audience on the Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon, 26th August, for the season’s finale of ‘The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle’.
