SLIMEFEST 2017

A galaxy of stars experienced music, mayhem and SLIME as they attended Nickelodeon’s SLIMEFEST at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Arena. Presented by Nickelodeon in partnership with VisitBlackpool, SLIMEFEST featured performances from top acts including headliners Professor Green, Pixie Lott, The Vamps as well as JoJo Siwa, Diversity, Matt Terry, 5 After Midnight, and was hosted by Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely.

This year, SLIMEFEST attracted a whole host of celebrities for this six-show spectacular including Stacey Solomon, Danielle Lloyd, Chelsee Healey, Brooke Vincent, Ayden Callaghan, John Thomson and Blackpool’s very own Issy Simpson.

High-profile YouTube stars such as Saffron Barker, Anastasia Kingsnorth, Ethan Gamer, Ruby Rube, Tekkerz Kid, It’s Romello, Max & Harvey, Amelia Gething and Houssein, also attended the slime-filled event which saw over 1,000 kids covered in slime as they watched the show from the SLIME PIT. 12,000 people attended SLIMEFEST across six sold-out shows over the weekend.

Councillor Gillian Campbell, Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council said: “What a fantastic weekend of stars and slime which attracted families from all over the country. What a great event to hold in Blackpool to help kick off October half-term here in the UK’s favourite beach resort.

“The SLIMEFEST crowds absolutely loved all the performances and there was a phenomenal audience reaction to the first performances in the UK by JoJo Siwa.”

“SLIMEFEST is truly a Nickelodeon event; bringing all of the humour, mayhem, stars and slime that our audience loves from the screen to the stage. This year’s SLIMEFEST was bigger, better and slimier than anything Blackpool had seen before and it was brilliant to work so closely with Blackpool to deliver a sold-out event that was enjoyed by so many.” Said Alison Bakunowich, General Manager, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland.

If you weren’t one of the lucky ones to get a ticket to this year’s SLIMEFEST, don’t worry, as the show airs on Nickelodeon on Friday, 3rd November at 5pm & 8pm.

In the meantime, you can still get your SLIME fix with a gallery of pictures from this weekend’s shows. Go to www.visitblackpool.com/slimefest and while you are there, why don’t you enter our competition to win some signed merchandise by JoJo Siwa and other performers from the weekend.
