L
ivall smart helmet manufacturers are sponsoring Team Yabbitus in their latest challenge to cycle through 7 countries in 7 days and raise a total of £100K for their local charity Brian House Children’s Hospice based in Bispham.

The group of friends from Blackpool have already raised over £72K for the charity but they hope to reach their target of £100K with the help of local business Second Chance Ltd based on Amy Johnson Way.

Second Chance have given the riders Award Winning Livall BH60SE helmets to help them keep safe during their winter training and epic cycling journey through 7 European countries this June starting in Switzerland and finishing in Holland.

Spokesperson for Team Yabbitus and one of the riders of the team Neil Thomas said ‘We’re so pleased to have the Livall brand on-board with our challenge. These smart helmets are fantastic! They have a walkie-talkie system which means we can all talk to each other while riding the over 800 miles. We also feel safer as the lights & indicators increase our visibility out on the road.’

The Livall range of smart helmets include:

  • Bright LED lights so you are easier to see
  • Indicator lights to alert traffic of your road direction to improve your visibility
  • An SOS alarm detects when you have an accident and sends a text message to friends or family
  • A microphone and internal speakers allow you to make and receive phone calls
  • As a result of the Bluetooth connection you can listen to music, GPS navigation, audiobooks and podcasts direct from your smart phone

‘All the features in the helmets should make the team’s journey more enjoyable and most of all safer,’ said Patrick Daniels from Second Chance Ltd, ‘The BH60SE is a great road helmet and will enhance the riders’ journey while they ride for their great cause.’
