Family fun on the beach promises to be colourful – fancy dashing across the beach displaying an array of bright colours, all for the Fylde coast’s hospice? This year’s Colour Splash is happening earlier this year than in previous years, so organisers at Trinity Hospice are hoping no-one misses out on what they say is a fun, vibrant, family-friendly fundraiser.

Back for its fourth year, the colour splash is a 3km course featuring seven paint stations, showering participants with all the colours of the rainbow as they run, jog or walk along the beach at Starr Gate. The event takes place on Sunday June 10 at 12 noon. Previously the event has been held later in July, but due to other commitments on the beach and the tide times, the events team at Trinity Hospice have brought the fun forward.

Events Manager Kayleigh Penn said ‘We’re so excited about this year’s Colour Splash. It’s always been such a fun event for people of all ages and abilities, and we hope to see hundreds of people joining us for this earlier-than-usual spectacular occasion. We would always encourage people to register as soon as possible, and we really don’t want anyone to miss out on this fantastically colourful beach event.’

Entry is £18 for adults and £16 for children under 16 years old, or get a family ticket for £48, saving £20. All money raised at the event will go towards providing outstanding compassionate end of life care to all people who need it across the Fylde coast, either at the Bispham-based hospice or in their own homes – wherever they choose to be.
